This week's The Best Years in Life Radio Show features very special guest Charlotte Gerson, noted author, lecturer and daughter of famed cancer pioneer Max Gerson.

About Charlotte Gerson:

Charlotte was born in Germany and had her early schooling there. Later, she attended schools in Vienna and Paris before coming to New York where she finished her high school education. She subsequently attended Smith College.

Charlotte often visited her father’s clinic in upstate New York, made rounds with him and assisted him in many ways. She studied his therapy and its application to his patients. 

After her father’s death, she continued to publish his last book, A Cancer Therapy – Results of 50 Cases and started to lecture on the Gerson Therapy. For the past 35 years, she has lectured widely all over the United States, in Canada, Mexico as well as in Europe and Australia. She is well known as a speaker at many of the health conventions such as:

• The Cancer Control Society
• The National Health Federation
• The Modern Manna Group
• The Consumer Health Organization of Canada
• and many more as well as at many private organizations

Also, for the past 30 years, Charlotte has trained physicians in the Gerson Therapy at the Mexican Hospitals. Presently, she functions mostly as an independent private consultant and lecturer. She has given a lecture to a “Natural Health” group at the British Parliament; at the Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, and the London University, various Irish University locations, and in Italy. 

Charlotte writes many articles about general health, the Gerson Therapy, and recovered patients. She regularly contributes to the Gerson Institute Healing Newsletter and her articles have been reprinted in magazines worldwide. 

In 2002, she published a series of nine “booklets” responding to the public’s request for “Patients recovered from their kind of cancer”. These booklets each contain some 35 pages, with the titles of Healing [name of cancer] the Gerson Way. They are very popular since each of them shows some dozen recovered patients of that cancer. 

Charlotte owns the copyright on two excellent DVD’s describing the Gerson Therapy, showing recovered patients. The first one, “The Gerson Miracle” won first prize at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in 2004. The later one, “Dying to Have Known” describes the attackers’ claims and counters them with Surgeons and Professors showing cured, formerly terminal, patients treated with the Gerson Therapy and recovered. 

Charlotte’s latest book, Healing the Gerson Way – Defeating Cancer and Other Chronic Diseases, written in cooperation with Beata Bishop, came out in August, 2007. It is new, in excellent style, eminently readable and usable for self-healing. It also has almost 100 pages of Gerson recipes.

The Best Years in Life Radio Show is now part of the Wolf Spirit Radio network and is broadcast every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 CST. Normally, during the first half hour of the show, I discuss current news topics relating to health, especially natural health versus mainstream medicine.  During the second half hour, Luella May takes over and discusses the topics she has in mind for the day, which frequently include topics about elderly health care as well as natural health for pets and animals.  During the second hour of the show we normally interview a special guest.
