I think I found what might work to get rid of my exfoliative cheilitis. I have been researching zinc defiency and I have all of the symptoms. I stumbled upon this because I noticed my sinuses swelling up due to my fall allergies. I know that zinc is a natural antihistamine and helps with seasonal allergies. Then I thought, well, if my immune system is attacking my sinuses due to my allergies, and my sinuses are mucous membranes, I wonder if it is also attacking the other mucous membranes in my head, which are my lips. So if I take extra zinc and it helps my lips, then it means my immune system needs the extra zinc. I am going to start taking extra zinc today, I already take a multivitamin, but I know I have always been deficient because I used to have ulcerative colitis and to help with the inflammation in my intestines I used to take extra zinc and fish oil. And it stopped the inflammation in my intestines, which was also caused by my immune system attacking my intestinal tissue and creating histamine which resulted in inflammation. I also rea
Used that my exfoliative cheiltis flare up last year started in the fall just like this year. I looked up zinc defiency and I have all of the symptoms. If it works I will post my results on here. It apparently is not enough to take a multivitamin when you are zinc deficient, you have to supplement.
