You can probably talk to the produce manager at the store that had the spongey horseradish and ask if they will be getting some more fresh coming in?

I requested some from the Publix near me and he said it was the third request that week and so he ordered it! They called me to tell me it was in.

Grocers are usually pretty acomodating.
