Thyroid /adrenal test results -- input anyone to help me understand what they mean?
Greatly desire input from all you experienced people out there with far better command on this all to what my recent blood test might mean and perhaps input on treatment options/considerations.. The lab only flagged the Rt3 result as a point of concern, noted in red below.= but, several seem on the higher end of the scale.
Cortisol - 19.2 (range 2,3/19.4) (cortisol Am range 6.2/19.4) (cortisol PM range 2.3/11.9) - doesn't that seem like a high cortisol result?
TSH - 2.30 (range 0.450/4.50)
T3 - 140 (range 71/180))
RT3 - 21.2 (range 13.5/34.2) (effective 10-29-12 this will change to a range of 9.2/24.1 for patients 16 and older)
T4 - 1.23 (range .082/1.77)
C-ractive protien quant - 0.9 (range 0.0/4.9)
Vit D 25-hydroxy - 4.9 (range 30.0 - 100.0)
eGFR If nonAfrican AM - 107 (range >59)
Any feedback on what the above is showing? Have read where ratios are critical in understanding results. If so, what corrective treatment options are available for consideration? This is a frist dive into this confusting information so any tips on where productive seeking can be located is dearly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for all your help and efforts.
Blessings.
(at least now, these tests should help take the guess/assumption equation out of the puzzle.)
In addition, does anyone hae experience wtih Cytomegalovirus Ab, IgM ? from my understanding it's a form for hep-5 but, had never heard of that nor aware a doc would order it along with endocrine tests.......any input would be extremely helpful in shortenting my learning curve on this topic. Seems like a rather common viral infection with 60% to 80% of the population having been exposed but, dunno......
