Re: Could Iodine be doing this? Coughing up mucous but not feeling the least bit sick.

I took Lugols Iodine about four years ago until I became a bit concerned about it.

Then seven weeks ago I took some rosemary and seaweed because of the natural Iodine in them. I began to cough up phlegm and mucous. For over three weeks I ran a fever that would go from 99.5 to 102.9. I even pulled a muscle from coughing.

My lungs were not the cause of the coughing. The phlegm was coming from my throat, especially around my thyroid gland, my neck, and a few inches below my neck.

The fevers did not stop until I started taking Greek oregano oil.

I started wondering "Was it the iodine?" So, two days ago I took one seaweed pill. Am again coughing up phlegm. It isn't bad, but it is happening.

My previous experience with Lugol's did not involve coughing or phlegm. I won't go into that now.

Maybe I should add that I am 55 years old and have had lupus since age twelve, so no doubt my thyroid has had problems.
