I like what Daniel wrote, but I would add a moderator should also not have conflicting interests, for example promoting a treatment or website that he or she might profit from while banning users who offer criticism or alternative [free] approaches. Both Daniel and I operate websites and link to them here -- Daniel makes ad revenue on his while I do not -- and Daniel, I'm not suggesting you would have a conflict of interest as moderator or are swimming in dough from youtube clicks.

I'm happy to moderate here, but I can't guarantee I'll be on the site daily to respond to problems, so perhaps I'm not the best choice. Also, in full disclosure, since there were no objections in the last 18 hours it appears I've already been made a moderator -- and I was not the one who Triple Recommended (RRR) my recent post, for the record. That means someone else is now an active moderator (or the Webmaster RRR'd it).

I hope the moderation team can adequately address spam and other issues on the site impartially, and with no conflicts of interest. Now let's see about getting that awful zombie picture out of the Image Gallery . ;)
