Re: Looking great the past week and met someone! :)
In responce to lipshitz:
The accutane causing peeling lips doesn't disprove my theory at all, in fact in enhances it. What accutane essentially does is dry up the body. Your arms, lips, face, everything will be so dry and uncomfortable, it will almost drive you crazy (from what I've read). So what happens when your lips are dry? You start putting a moisturizer on them, same with the rest of your body. The regular skin doesn't peel, only mucuous membranes peel like this...the regular skin is much more rough and able to withstand this more. Anyways at some point after using accutane the lips will start peeling from the person either rubbing the dead skin off or fromt he lips swelling due to the increased dryness and the body trying to heal itself.
As far as the immune system response, and fighting programmed cell death, not sure yet, we are just now working on healing this, in the future as more people test out different ways to heal I'm sure we can come up with an answer to that.
And JSL, we don't honestly need scientific proof. We are the scientists. Who cares if someone has a degree from some university, the thing is that we are doing what scientists would be doing..studying a problem, and coming up with theories, hoping to eventually get a fact. I don't need a degree to figure out what is going on with my lips.
As far as moist wound healing, yes I do believe that is possible. However keeping the lips in that kind of environment constantly is a huge problem and not easily achieved. If you are a working person this would not be possible at all. But yes I do believe you can cure this from keeping them constantly in moisture (the proper moisture, not some chemical lip product). And thanks for the support :) hopefully we can figure out the real cure soon!
And healing yes I completely agree with you, if this was truly something more...then something more would truly be showing up in lab tests...however I am very thankful that nothing is showing up, at least we don't have to worry about having some horrible disease :)
