use black Nigella seeds all the time. I've never thought of them medicinally. I don't consider them tasteless.
I love the taste and use them regularly instead of caraway to flavor my rye breads.
Also, love them in Armenian string cheese.
I use them in many Indian spice blends and in a wonderful Moroccan spice mix that I use called Ras-el-Hanout which I use in Tagines, couscous, and crock-pot dishes.
They are also known a Kalonji seeds which is how I buy them.
The article you site uses the name black cumin----I would not use that name when asking for them because there is another product with the same name.
By the way you can make a tea out of it by grinding the seeds to release some of the oils---putting them in an infuser
and pouring hot water over them ---add a little bit of vanilla, a little milk and honey if you like.
Nice to know that one of my favorite spices is actually healthy!
