Re: Because
Mysticism and esoteric nonsense are not the same thing. However they both err on scripture.
BTW,
I am not interpreting the scripture to make it say something is does not.
I have seen healing my self real genuine healing and there wasn't a human so called "healer". Just answered prayer.
I have seen Devils and have dealt with them but always in a Biblical way. Again the writings that are directly to the church made of Gentiles and Jews. Has absolutely no teaching on the subject of Casting our devils. It was a sign that gave authority to the Apostles ministry was of God.
The signs are not needed for us because we have our mandate to minister that is based on the Authority of 2Cor5. There is no gift of casting out devils.
and I ahve seen a lots of things Spiritually that many have not but I will not boast in those things but in the Cross of Christ Alone for my salvation and the image of Christ be conformed in me (character development).
But the whole get on your face until you get the truth from God via the Holy Spirit that was what the monks would do as stated above. Travail in the Spirit. that is even church practice at all any where. It has some place for Jews in the OT but that doesn't make it a practice.
And to claim we can get closer to Christ when he has brought us nigh unto him by his blood? sister I can t get any closer to Jesus nor can I get and further from him. For his work had brought me near. My sin may stifle my spirit but I am still just as close to him as I ever was. This borders on Psychology and Psychiatry which is dangerous ground and where many of the counseling ministries not based on scriptures in the church today come from a blending of secular and Christianity.
The Bible as I have been sharing it is done very simple not to over cloud it with an abundance of words. God's words with mine to explain the context. It is not needed if people would read and study as they supposed to do.
This is how all the nonsense got into the church was because people want to be spoon fed and believe every word that comes from a godly mans mouth without checking to the word of God, to see if those things be true.
Never rely on various opinions, search the scriptures and see if what they teach are true. Learn to rightly divide the words as commanded in in 2Tim 2:15. To do that you will need the Holy Ghost. I agree I do not know all as to what was taught to the church about the gifts in 1Cor 12 but this I do know a sign is not a gift.
A literal interpretation of the Bible is not a error but the best way to keep from it. In this way of interpretation God's word is kept clear we don't have to spiritualize or devotionalize away any doctrines because we don't understand it. We simple divide it to Jew, Gentile and the churches of God, the body of Christ.
When we keep it literal then we wont confuse the different gospels found in scripture together making it all one gospel. We keep it literal and look at the differences and keep them that way. Because things that are different are not the same.
Various opinions come from various minds but we are to be of one mind and when we are not that tells us something.
