Re: Food Intolerance Test Trustworthy? What do those foods do to me?
IMHO I suspect you probably also suffer from low body temps, whether you know it or not. Take your temp upon waking and tract it through a day and it might surprise you.
I am NO EXPERT, only another sufferer. Take what you will and leave the rest.
The reason I say this is every time I hear histamine reactions/allergies and inquire about body temps I have always received back they didn't believe it but, their temps were low, like in the 97 degree range. I have suffered from low body temps for years without realizing this is all interconnected with my digestion issues/histamine reactions etc. This would include
food allergies which may not be real allergies per say but, a response due to leaky gut....
My hunch is leaky gut caused by disbyosis/candida allows large molecule food particles into the blood stream which the body doesn't recognize as food but, mounts an immune response. It's already taxed in trying to get a handle on candida entering the blood stream so, this is a double whammy. The next step would be how this all taxes the adrenal/thyroids which play a major role in regulating the immune and other body systems, including body temps.
Rarely, is candida a stand alone issue: it's more a symptom of some other imbalance. Your ND is trying to heal your whole system through balancing things. Treatments tend to have interconnecting theme's just like these systems are all interconnected.
There is reason to avoid inflammatory foods, however, something I'm trying to wrap my head around is how it's widely touted to use coconut oil but,
CO is strongly inflammatory....so even within logic there's much contradictory information.
Might I suggest looking at trying to alkalize your body pH...this is also somewhat confusing but, ties into dietary suggestions for most of your maladies. Leafy greens are alkalizing. Minerals are alkalizing, like
Sea Salt and trace minerals from kelp, etc. Lemon juice in water is acidic but, alkalizing to your body...strange, eh? There is a forum here which covers most this far better than a slump like me can. Your ND should be able to help guide you along this path as well.
I wish you luck and healing graces on your journey.
