Re: Keep the prayers coming, please
sometimes healing by faith comes from an addition to doing something. this was not uncommon. Often Jesus would do something and then tell the person to go and do something.
John 9:1 ¶ And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
What if this man never Obeyed the word of Christ and went and washed?
One thing I have observed is that no matter which time in the Bible from Genesis 1 to Revelation 19, three things are in action. Faith in works, Works and Grace. These three are applied differently to the believer in differnt times.
i.e. from Genesis 1 - 50: One would believe (faith) the word of God, act (work) on it and then they would receive the grace. It is said of Noah that he found grace in the eyes of the LORD. so God spoke to him to build an Ark, Noah beleived and built it, and he received the Grace whichis was salvation from the flood.
EXodus - Acts 8: Once the Law of Moses was inacted and this also applied to Abraham. If they believed (faith) the word of God, acted on it(did the works of faith), at the time of the Resurrection they would receive the Grace.
Act 9 - Philemon: Under the Gospel of Grace. One hears the word and beleives (faith), receives the grace immediately, and good works come forth from his life.
Hebrews-Rev19: It is combined Kingdom Gospel that included the forgiveness of sin by the shed blood of Christ (read Hebrews this is quite clear) Here is they have faith and beleive on Christ they do the works required, enduring holdout until the end etc... they will in the end receive the grace of God.
Under the Millennail Kingdom: there is no faith as they will see Christ sitting on his throne, Remeber faith is the substanceof things hoped for the evidence of things not seen Hebrews. So no faith on Jesus Christ for salvation, only works but these works are on belief of the word of God to bring their oblations and sacrifices to Jerusalem yearly and they would receive the grace of God, that is rain for their crops. Zecariah 12-14 sheds light on activities during the great Tribulation and the millennial kingdom. If they did that with a pure heart they would one day at the Great White Throne judgement enter the New Jerusalem to eat of the tree of life.
So we should always do our part and where we cannot then let God give his grace. for his grace is suffeceint for us.
