Re: New Blood test results with new problems, platelet count low , liver enzymes raised, help please !.

We pretty much have the same thing going on, poor digestion/absorption, elevated liver enzymes, and slight pain under the right-side rib cage.

I was on a high protein/high fat/low carb diet for years after being misdiagnosed as hypoglycemic which turned out to be what's called Toxic Hunger that creates practically the same symptoms and, ironically, that wrong high protein diet I has told to go on is actually the cause of Toxic Hunger. [insert mad smilie face here]

But even after curing my Toxic Hunger symptoms within days of going on a juice fast then switching to a mostly vegen 80-10-10 diet, my above liver symptoms haven't improved and even with this plant-based diet, I'm still having a lot of digestion problems.

My practitioner says I might have a mild case of fatty liver, but that slight pain under my lower right ribcage is actually my gall bladder and recommended the following supplement that can treat both:

Ichol Plus by Genestra

"Ichol Plus is indicated for constipation, hypercholesterolemia, gall and kidney stones, blocked bile duct, gout, jaundice, hepatitis, duodenal ulcers; and for symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome, menopause, endometriosis, arteriosclerosis, hypertension and hypotension.

Ichol Plus combines lipotropic factors, ox bile and synergistic herbs specially selected for their ability to regulate fat metabolism, remove toxins and metabolic wastes, and support the liver, gall bladder and common bile duct. Fatty accumulation in the liver interferes with cholesterol metabolism and hormonal balance, resulting in fat deposits in the liver and circulatory system, which can lead to endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome and coronary disease. Ox bile is necessary for the digestion of fat and the assimilation of fat-soluble vitamins, as well as to stimulate the bile flow, thereby preventing constipation."

I have it on order and should get in the next couple of days and I'll be letting everyone know if it helps me or not. I also plan to do a gall flush (olive oil, lemon) and also a Master Liver Cleanse (lemon, cayenne, grade-B maple syrup) if need be.

There's that old adage "You are what you eat," but if you can't digest it, the adage becomes "You are what you digest."
