diet information
this will probably be taken the wrong way by some people.
doug graham, the originator of the 811 diet, roughly states proportions of macronutrients should be 80 percent carbohydrate (from fruit), 10 percent from fat and 10 percent from protein. doug has said that there were MANY steps for him in order to get to this point. he did NOT just wake up one day and start eating 100 bananas a day and be able to do superhuman fingertip pushups.
now imagine if it was difficult for doug graham to get to this point, how difficult would it be for a person with extreme adrenal fatigue? or a person with metasticized cancer?
and who is to say that doug graham will still not yet have another step in his dietary evolution.
fatty liver disease, and all of these syndrome diseases can be EXTREMELY complex in etiology.
no one wants to feel put down for what they are eating, espeically in light of all the hard work and dedication they put into their health.
it is one thing to bring to attention the fact that people like doug graham and macdougal exist and that you yourself have derived benefit from them.
but it is entirely a different thing to project your own success or lack thereof onto other people in a way that makes people think they are hopeless crack addicts sneaking off to eat their lamb stew with no hope of ever getting better because they could not control their self-destructive eating.
a few people sort of accused me of being negative. pure BS. i am trying to create a safe place for everyone to voice their belief without putting others down or making websites ridiculing people who eat peanut butter. how on earth i can be construed as the negative one here is completely beyond me. i thought that anthony needed to be held accountable for his actions.
anthony was not the first person on curezone to suggest eating carbohydrates. i think there may have been a few dozen or hundred or thousand before him.
the fact that people make the conscious choice to enter curezone and go straight to the
Candida Forum and follow blindly advice that clearly is not good for them is not a reflection on the forum owners, or the paleo movement, or anyone else. it is solely a reflection on that person's state of mind and consciousness. there is no one to blame but yourself if you choose to go down a path that makes you sick without questioning who and what you are doing.
this would be like walking into a giant home depot store to buy tools to build a house, buzz straight into the miniature screw driver section, and only buy miniature screw driver sets. and then become increasingly more and more frustrated and angry that you couldn't even saw one piece of wood.
diet is just one tool in a large toolbox that is offered on curezone.
please try to refrain from projecting your own bias onto others. it is helpful to offer personal experiences of what has worked and what has not worked for people. or to offer new perspectives on healing, of which high carb is most certainly NOT, but it seems that some people are overly susceptible to the paleo koolaid and so relative to the paleo bias high carb is new.
i think that the term adrenal fatigue is extremely destructive to a lot of people here. yes, obviously sick people need to keep their adrenals as strong as possible and heal them. but dr lam, i think he was the one who coined the term, has created this little niche where people have become much too focused on the minutiae of one organ and lost sight of the fact that perhaps they need to be more holistic or perhaps just eat normally instead of stuffing down 2 chickens per day.
here is where people may become defensive.
the genetic record could not be more clear as to what human beings are designed to eat. human beings are frugivores plain and simple.
no other animals on earth drink the milk of other animals or even mother's milk past the point of weening.
birds have a special digestive organ called a gizzard in order to digest grains. some mesomorphs are designed also to eat grain. other than that, grain in its natural state will break your teeth and they are completely undigestible.
cows have a special stomach that enables them to ferment and digest grasses.
in order to digest grain people have to pick, husk, soak, and boil it. not bad if you are starving but this is not food for humans.
in order to digest meat you have to first hunt an animal. kill it, drain its blood, chop it up into small pieces with a knife and then cook it. uncooked meat is not very palateable to all but a tiny minority of human beings.
does meat have its place as way to heal people who are filled with dioxins, phthalates, heavy metals, radioactive metals, solvents, and the plethora of poisons that modern society has plagued us with? yes, i think so. it is a very unnatural solution to a very unnatural problem. but it is a solution for some people.
genetically we are closest to baboons. we share 97 or 98 percent common dna depending on which study you look at. we also happen to look most like baboons than any other animals on the planet.
the argument that we have canine teeth is false. we have incisors but these are not canine. go kill an animal and try to rip the fresh raw flesh with your teeth to prove this.
you don't have to do much more than look at carnivorous animals to see that we are nothing like them. our intestines are completely different, our jaws are completely different, and the hcl acid levels are completely different.
tubers in their natural state aren't really digestible. they can get you by if you are starving, but in the long run you have to cook them. fibrous vegetables would fall into the same category as tubers as far as digestibility. if they are cooked we can get by on them but not thrive.
what is left are fruits, small nuts, seeds, and tender leafy greens. all of these foods can easily be eaten in their natural state with no cooking, and they are appealing in taste.
apes do eat up to 3% of their diet from hunting and killing other animals. whether this is done to mark territory or for actual nutrtional needs is up for debate.
the problem that most non frugivorous people will have with this information is the disconnect between how they feel eating fruit and abstaining from meat vs the intellectual content of the message. and of course we as humans will always rationalize how we feel over an intellectualization. some people are just so sick, so toxic, so poisoned, so depleted in almost every aspect of their existence that it is virtually impossible for them to get a true read on what their body actually needs. or even worse their body's actually need things that the body was not designed for. this state could share some similarities with what is called adrenal fatigue.
in no way am i judging anyone for what they eat, but the evidence could not be more clear as to what the intended human diet is supposed to be.
