I didn't intend to offend, it's not my nature, sorry.
Of course I realize such a plan would never have any mass appeal, it is too far outside peoples comfort zone but comfort zones will have to adapt soon and it is better done voluntarily.
I do believe a complete meltdown is very near and peoples disposable income is extremely limited to make adequate preparations primarily because of the items you listed that normal people feel they must pay. When the meltdown does come there will be much sad regret for maintaining the illusion right up to the end instead of using their money to prepare for what simple math says is a sure thing.
