let me back up a bit because everyone is a little different.

until the bromide detox and asthma is resolved and since you are getting good results, stick with it. the other half of your brood should be fine with just SSKI if you so desire(its a bit cheaper than lugols). both could use higher doses.

there are many reasons for the minimum doses i recommend. protection from halogen imbalance and environmental radiological elements being the most pressing.

SSKI is 75% Iodine as Lugols is reckoned. so to get the same dose of Lugols from SSKI , 33% more is needed. to get the same dose of SSKI from lugols, 25% less is needed.

Expectorant

SSKI: 60-250 mg PO q6hr

that means that children can be given 60-250mg of SSKI by mouth every 6 hours. dont be afraid to use it and you will save a trip to the doctor and the potential harm you know they do.
