I have been eating lots of raw greens like zuccini & romaine, celery, etc., eating the raw fruits that increase alkalinity, but when I used Bentonite clay & psyllium to clean my system from any lingering candida I saw that my ph shot way up! On the net I saw that the clay was the reason.
Personally I take some live culture kefir, and later live culture acidophilus yogurt, a couple of hours after the p & b to be sure to replace any good probiotics that are being swept out, plus I take the prebiotic inulin with them to feed those good bacteria so that they live long and multiply!
I have even experimented with baking soda but I think that can cause kidney problems over time and of course it does nothing beneficial for the body other than alkalize.
