Post water fast for athletes
Hi, this is my first
Water Fast and I am on day 9 of 12. This is what I have planned to break my fast...could you please give me your input?
day 1: 4oz diluted juice half water half juice, same, 8oz diluted juice all 4 hours apart
day 2: 8oz straight juice 4 hours apart, small pieces of fruit for the last meal
day 3: whole fruits
day 4: fruits and vegetable salad together
day 5: eggs, oatmeal, chicken breast, nuts
day 6: rice, potatoes, lean steak
day 7+ eat whatever I want
My biggest goal is to maintain the weight loss during the fast avoiding a rebound. I am a competitive athlete, so I do want to get my metabolism very high once again as soon as possible. I will be honest and tell you I do not intend to eat only raw foods from here on out. I am a strength athlete which requires me to eat over 5,000 calories on some days and it won't all be clean. So a few questions...
1) is this plan gradual enough or am I adding those whole foods (meat and carbs) too soon?
2) Is day 7 too soon to start eating whatever I want?
3) when can I eat large amounts of food to start raising my metabolism and strength train/exercise intensely?
