When I enter a hospital I feel soo many things (!?) and one of them is the loss of my own power and sovereignty.
When I first gave birth, I wanted to hold my son in my arms. The nurse didn't want and stepped back. I said come on, it's my own baby! I thought it was kind of a joke because it was the night of Christmas. I handed over to touch the tiny hand and the nurse warned me that "one more attempt to touch the baby and she would take him to the nursery and I wouldn't be allowed to the next visit into my room which was scheduled for the next day." Then she turned around and left the room. What a shock it was... and what a merry Christmas if any!
Morale: keep away from the white coats. They are the BOSS and make us feel they have the right to be our BOSS.
