Phenethyl isothiocyanate (PEITC), found in watercress, cabbage, broccoli, kale, and other cruciferous vegetables, has been found to inhibit various cancers in the body. This new article from Science Daily shows their effectiveness against breast cancer models - http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/08/120802183942.htm
"The researchers found that administering PEITC for 29 weeks was linked with a 56.3% reduction in mammary carcinoma lesions greater than 2mm. "Although PEITC administration does not confer complete protection against mammary carcinogenesis, mice placed on the PEITC-supplemented diet, compared with mice placed on the control diet, clearly exhibited suppression of carcinoma progression," the authors write.
A cruciferous-based diet may be something that everyone needs to adhere to at least a few months out of each year to help combat increased risk of cancer found in today's world. Doing this along with Dr. McCombs Candida Plan could be an ideal approach.
