Unadorned appreciation/testimonial
Hi all, I suddenly had something like a developing stye,
or something of that sort. Note: I've never HAD a stye;
so I'm just comparing, to what I've seen, in others.
In any case, some of us might go off to an MD--In the olde days!--just out of a slight fear. Sore eye, swelling a bit, the feeling of a pinprick of pain. Maybe conjuctivitis!!!
or some other "itis" (meaning inflammation)
I didn't look in the mirror. (Got that nugget of wisdome from reading Autobiography of a Yogi). That's always a bad idea, when there's something to see, aimed at reinforcing 'limited -or lacking- views'.
Anyway, I just boiled some water, steeped about an ounce of dried eyebright (cut, not powder) in a covered jar for s few hours 'till cool, and refrigerated. My thought was, to use the strained infusion as an eyewash for about three days (which is about how long it stays good)
\One other thing i did--smeared some castor oil on both eyes (to be balanced)overnight.
Today, I have done about six-eight drips and drops with an eyedropper, over the course of the day, and the eye is normal again. I just absentmindedly rubbed it, and behold: a small crystal-like object. And that's it. I'll do it for tomorrow as well.
(Maybe there is a deepish cleansing going on, since I've been doing water with *a few drops of lemon, in the eyes, every day for awhile, (per Mantak Chia), and just recently dropped that, broke the habit. By the way--the habit feels wonderful: is said to improve sight, even dissolve cataracts: for me, it's more preventative; anyway, I just got a bit fragmented: aka "too many mind", and let go of the daily eyewash. so, hmmm.
Just wanted to post a quick note, in praise of the simple, the one-herb d-i-y Natural Healing infusion.
best, Chiron
