Hi,
I can't find any information that indicates animal Iv is different to human Iv. It needs to be safe for both.
Re dogs, there are some breeds with a known reaction to Iv, due to (from memory) a deficiency in their blood-brain barrier which Iv normally cannot cross. In most breeds, Iv is recommended at 3mth intervals to prevent heart worm. I read a page where a beagle breeder used injectable cattle Iv, cutting his cost by 2/3. I get the impression they kind of just have to write this stuff.
