Re: low estrogen - premarin?

Sorry Ausmum, I only realised after you posted that you knew the origins of the premarin pill - but its really very ghastly.... my mother took it for 30 years and developed strokes, clots, and died. Its not a pill I'd ever favour. I think the karma must be deadly if you realise how those horses suffer.

Anyhow, from my own limited research (as i'm menopausal) the options from mainstream are premarin, dermal patch, or trouches. I think the trouches are probably the safest as they exactly measure what you need and don't give you a miligram more than you need and I believe are bioidentical. You can get the trouches via a compounding pharmacy. But at the end of the day... any type of estrogen over exposure is going to lead to cancer growth risks.

Could you go without it?

The alternative natural way to get your own estrogen up is to avoid hard cardio exercise as high levels of cardo exercise will dampen estrogen levels. Are you doing alot of cardio? Perhaps if so you could reduce your cardio and see if that helps to elevate your levels.
