Apologies for the slow reply...

Instead of raw salad, I would suggest cooked (boiled, steamed) vegetables and easily digestible protein such as moong beans/lentils.

You may also wish to try a little brown rice, preferably germinated for easier digestion/cooking.

I am a strong advocate of ayurvedic medicine, which acknowledges different diets for different body types/characteristics. For my body type it is recommended to use spices that aid digestion, such as cumin seeds, mustard seeds, turmeric, and ginger powder. I also cook with sesame seed oil and ghee, which gives my food a nice sheen. This unctious quality (as opposed to dry) is also beneficial for folks with constipation.
