Over the time that I have studied zappers and zapping, what I have seen agrees with this to an extent. I do believe that there is an exception that needs to be considered however.
A certain number of individuals who seem to have yeast or fungal overgrowth in their intestines that perforates the intestinal walls. When killed, this leaves holes in the intestines that take time to close. These holes will allow things to pass through the intestinal walls that would not otherwise.
This effect appears to be temporary and usually only lasts a few hours.
