Seek the light of truth and kindness

Realizing that history is shaped and written by the victors, or at least by those who control the dissemination of information, one can nevertheless look back at history and see man's inhmanity to man through the ages.  War and religion, often intertwined, stand at the forefront as the culprits of such inhumanity, though when one looks deeper it is greed - the deadliest of sins - that drives the agenda of evil.

Virtually no country or religion is without guilt - and far too many of us highly fallible humans are all too easily swayed when greed comes into play.  What we must do is strive to be as good as we can to our fellow man and our planet - and that means ALL fellow men, regardless of religion, creed or ethnicity - and hope and pray that the meek do indeed inherit the earth.

Cast aside the lies and conditioning you have been subjected to and seek the light, including the light of truth and the light of kindness and tolerance. Regularly do an act of kindness for someone in need with no expectations of material reward. Better still, seek out and do an act of kindness for someone who is not like you.

When we allow our prejudices or self-interests to cause us to look down on those who are not like us - or condone evil committed against them - then we become another soldier in the army of darkness.
