Persisiting Imbalance

Hi sir, my father aged 61 had some balance problems said he experienced room spinning around him and tremors(shake) in his body(revealed as vertigo in report) two weeks ago and we admitted him to an hospital... CT scan revealed the following 1.chronic infarcts in white matter of fronto parietal regoins of both sides 2. Lacunar infarcts are visualized n whitematter of bilateral frontal regions-subacute infarcts 3. No evidence of intracranial hemorrhage .4. Rthmoid sinusitis and left maxillary sinusitis.. He has high BP and diabetic/...subsequently he was referred to neurologist who examined him and advisd Inj. Oxparin 0.3 ml S/c BD along with other drugs like telma for BP clopitob(aspirin) and T.PAN.. His ECG reports was normal. The 10 doses. of OXparin injection was given and IV fluids were recommended. He was admitted for 5 days and was then discharged. the following drugs wqere recommended T.Nimodip, T.Clodrelplus75(1-0-0)(earlier it was clopitob75 0-1-0 now its changed to clodrelplus a week after discharge),, T Vertin(incase of shake) , T Tonact10(0-0-1), T strolinP(1-0-0), T ammlong(1-0-1)(, T telma 40mg( 1-0-1),T Ephoin100mg(0-0-1) T Trika(sleep prblems) (0-0-1). He was on insulin when he was admittted in to hospital and after he was discharged, Doctor asked him to continue Reclide MR60(1-0-0BF) and Glyciphage0.5 mg(-0-0-1) for diabetes as his diabetic level was ok. earlier a tablet Nimodip Bp was prescribed now doctor asked it to stop after a week.. Now its been about 15 days of tablets and my father looks better(once he wakes up, he does his routine morning activities without the help of anybody) . Though he is able to walk (real slow) he says Once he is back from a sleep for a longtime ,or when he stands up when he's been sitting for a while he experiences imbalance and says his leg moves sideways once he walks, this imbalance last for a few minutes(less than 2 mins most of the time). Once he lies down, he becomes normal again.... I just want to know was the diagnosis spot on? is there any other medications or tests like MRI that he needs to take or will it be a slow recovery due to his age? do we need to take up physiotherapy along with the medicines?? ..Is it advisable to leave him alone as we are going to office. he doesn't do much physical activities apart from his own work like bathing, toilet etc.. We want him to be normal as soon as possible as it s really painful to see such a busy man like him being confined within home...
