Its amazing that the original dialouge between 2tuff and myself is what spawned this backlash. There are two types of people in this forum, those with HIV (or who believe they have it) and those without. As an individual who as tried to see every single angle of this debate, which has turned debacle, it is very difficult to reason... who holds the truth. Is it the Medical Mafia, whos aim is to continue to proliferate through the guise of a false virus, or does the truth lie with Conspiracy theorist. Speaking from personal experience, If you don't have HIV or have never tested positive for it, it is counter productive to insinuate to those who believe they ARE infected that they are fools. Both ends of the fight have proof of their point, which can be counter attacked by its opponent.
Regarless for whatever reason... I have HIV, whether it is personal ignorance to a nearly transparent conspiracy, or whether it is a real viral epidemic, I tested positive, and it took 4 test to finally get a positive result. HIV was never an issue for me until I got it. It was never something I studied acutely, it was never something of great importance, until I got it. And I can tell you honestly, if I didn't have HIV now, I wouldn't know you people, and I'd probably be abrasive as some of 2tuffs comments. There is nothing wrong with being zealous, but if you want people to bend to your line of thinking, compassion is a must. Honestly I'd believe my doctor over 2tuff... why? because her (my doctor) approach in this matter is far more compassionate, even though I think she doesn't know as much as 2tuff, or others. She has a repore that makes me feel human, AND NOT like a stupid human. If I ask her the same question twice, she wont make me feel as though I'm a nimrod, she wont stand on her soap box and preach. She'll hold my hand and explain it all over again. And even if I did piss her off from doing it, she retains the option TO NOT ANSWER. This battle between the HIV institution and HIV revolutionaries will be won and lost in places like this. A place where someone like 2tuff really does have GOOD LEGITIMATE FACTS AND SOURCES, but all that might be overshadowed by a persons abrasiveness. A good analogy would be... a dying deer would be easily coaxed into drinking poison, from a gentle hand, than it would to recieve the cup of life from a shreaking tounge. Compassion.... my anti-HIV.
