Tens machine for chronic neuropathic testicular pain

Hi

I am under the care of a medical team in my local pain clinic after two years of trying many drugs prescribed by different docs. On my first visit the consultant said my use of the tens machine was incorrect and the pads should be somewhere on my back not groin as that is where the nerves that feed the testicles originate. He could not tell me himself exactly where as his nurse team run a clinic on this who I will not now see until October! So instead of wasting 3 months does anyone else have knowledge of where the tens machine pads should be placed to give pain relief for testicular pain?

Hope you can help. Trial and error isn't working and my pain is very bad this week. Mostly right sided but refers to the left also.

Thanks,

C
