Re: Too much bile acids may aggravate the lining of the gut
Yes thanks for this. I started a Nutritional Balancing Program a few months ago which involves 1 or 2
coffee enemas a day.
It seems obvious that a complication of
coffee enemas might be gut irritation, just because coffee is well known to be irritating taken orally. One might logically suspect that it might irritate the colon as well, so I am surprised how difficult it was to find anyone who reported difficulty AFTER coffee enemas. Many experience cramping WHILE retaining the enema.
Your post makes even more sense: it may not be the coffee so much as the bile release that it stimulates, and doing 2 enemas a day means there is not much bulk fecal matter left in there to absorb the bile.
I was doing well for 4-5 weeks on the program, but then got burning/cramping discomfort in my guts like never before, such that I've been kept awake many, many nights.
I've always counted my blessings that I don't suffer from insomnia, and now even more so, having a taste of it for so many nights in a row...so disprutpive.
I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out if the cramping was due to the new supplement regime: was it the largish daily dose of B Vitmains, was it the GB3, an oxbile digestive supplement...or was it an infection from the spring water i'd been drinking, was it the r the darned almond butter?...
Going to try to stop the
coffee enemas for a week and see if that helps.
