What is Brix? Why is it *very* important?

Brix is of great importance to anyone who wants to get, be or stay healthy. It's a key piece in the puzzles of 'what to eat' and 'how to eat'. On this forum almost everyone wonders a bit about how to optimize and extend the good effects of a water fast.

Once you learn the principles of Brix and apply them, you will know what 'perfect' is, and then you will easily recognize and refuse what is not perfect (as in gmo's etc). In this way, we can probably change the world, one a couple persons at a time, building up critical mass, and then being able to take wise, meaningful and peaceful action, to see the world we want--one in which the food grown and consumed is "high brix", which equates to supportive of life-in-balance. This extends to everything.

I have just thoroughly enjoyed some "pretty good" nectarines, measuring *14 and fuzzy* on my refractometer. That's not excellent, but it's delicious. (By contrast,much of what I'be been able to buy and test, as I was learning this has often been below 6. No wonder people don't want to eat fruits and veg when they are such "low brix"! ) To know what this means, you'll have to do a little study. I hope you do--that your interest is piqued.
