Let us see if I remember all:

Secrets to pH learned from MH (very difficult to find anywhere else):

-According to MH urine pH is the only test needed, if any.

-Urine pH is measured first thing in the morning. It seems that paper strips are the best for it. I have a pH meter and it yields similar results.

-The stomach health is the key to balance the pH since:
When the small stomach ulcers are cured, digestion improves and PH balance too (fermentation acids —extremely corrosive— are not longer produced).

-If the body receives more ash alkaline food, the stomach doesn't need to produce so much acid (the stomach produces acid and at the same time generates much needed bicarbonate which goes into the blood stream. When the need of bicarbonate is less the stomach acid production will be less). --This I learned reading other contributions here.

-Fasting (and specially OJ fast) heals the stomach.

-Chewing the food properly is very important (predigestion), fletcherism.

-Eating food in the right order is another great key (each food has its own enzymes). The stomach digests by layers.

-Poor food combinations create acid. Mixtures confuse the stomach.

-Never use antacids or the opposite chemicals (i.e. HCL) as a solution to balance pH. The antacids will produce an alkaline urine pH reading but that is tricky: your body tissues are still acid.

-See the charts available to find out the ash (alkaline or acid) that leave the different foods (still remember chewing good and right combinations are a must).

-Methods like using HCL or synthetic vitamins create acid environment and therefore don’t heal.

Another information learned here and there:

-Raw food tend to need less acid secretion (for digestion).

-Meat (specially when cooked) triggers the secretion of strong acids (for digestion).

-The stomach pH of carnivorous animals is lower than the one from the vegetarians.

-Coke, pop, etc. have a very low pH and are natural enemies of pH balancing.

-pH jumps from 10 to 10 that means ph 4 is 1,000 times more acidic than ph 7.

-Cancer exists only in acidic environment.

-Eating animal protein, specially at night (if you are asthmatic) is a risk. The pH of the blood goes more acidic during digestion since CO2 increases. The center in the brain in charge of maintaining blood pH instructs the lungs to breath more in order to get rid of the CO2 (mild acidic), you start hyperventilating and the ashtma attack is the result.

-The reason why the urine pH should be measured in the early morning, is because at that moment the urine has had more time to be in contact with body tissues and can reflect best the pH of the body.

Any other information very much welcome. This is very important subject.
