a different kind of fast, day three
Yesterday:
50
oz Acaí Mango Zinger Herbal Tea
6
oz Milk Thistle Tea
6oz Bengal Spice Tea
50
oz SmartWater w/splash of lemon
Today (so far):
50 oz Moroccan Pomegranate Rooibos Tea w/splash of lemon
6 oz Milk Thistle
50 oz Green Tea w/splash of lemon
Whenever I say I am consuming 50oz of tea I am only using 1-3 tea bags depending on the flavor. Green tea I only use two tea bags for 50 oz versus the Zinger teas I tend to use 2-3 bags.
Recently I don’t really like the ‘fruit’ teas. I might forgo them and stick to green tea and milk thistle. I love the mellow taste of milk thistle and it’s really good for the liver. That fear people usually have of getting a fatty liver due to excess fat loss during a fast is minimum with Milk Thistle.
My energy levels feel about the same whenever I eat. So sadly I don’t feel much of a difference but random pressure in my knees (which might be due to it raining soon).
I am measuring my ketone levels. Someone had once said drinking tea would lower the ketone levels. I have seen no such results! My ketone levels on day two were at 40mg and today was the same. I hope the levels stay at this level the whole time. I think anything higher is dangerous.
Yesterday I walked 2.29 miles. I felt a little out of it but I was not sure if it was the heat or the fast. I plan to walk about the same mileage today till I don’t feel I can be active. I am not hard-set on a schedule but I do think physical activity helps clear the mind and just overall makes me feel better versus laying in a bed all day. I plan the days I cannot walk to at least lay out on the deck and get some sun.
