Re: Peeling Lips linked to Digestion and Liver?

Several people feel digestive problems could be at the root of their lip condition. I have read a lot of stuff emphasizing the importance of digestive health in dealing with skin issues. I've also read up on liver stuff. Out of interest, have you had liver tests done, or digestive system tests. I had intended to get some kind of liver test done a good while back before my lips underwent major healing. some kind of test measuring detoxification function, such as one mentioned here:

But I never followed it up. If you look at the rated posts at the top of the forum, several people discuss digestive health as a root cause of lip problems, such as Eeedeebee, including inflammation in the digestive tract. See for example:

But if it is digestive health issues for some people, is it related to microorganisms, or acidity, or inflammation, or other issues. And are the proper tests, say for checking inflammation of the intestines, out there? Intensive inflammation tests interested me a while back, such as cytokine testing,but I do not know if such tests can be narrowed down to certain areas. e.g.:
