How important is it for fasting days to be consecutive for acne? I keep breaking fasts and starting over?


I keep hearing that 14 days is the magic mark where fasting will completely clear acne. Clearing Acne is the only real reason I'm bothering to fast, I do look forward to the other affects but I want to design my fasting to optimize anti- Acne benefits.

I really want to hit 14 straight days, but I'm concerned that my weight will be too low after my recent failed fasts.

I've been trying to fast for the last 2 weeks with mixed success, but I've been unable to go all the way consecutively without breaking fast.

i started June 22th, and made it almost 4 days, breaking fast the late in the 4th day. Looked like this:

1st day-june 22th-100% fasted
2nd day-june 23th- 100% fasted
3rd day-june 25th- 100% fasted
4h day- june 26th- broke fast 11 P.M

I had a crunch bar and bag of tortilla chips, maybe 1,500 calories total.

The next morning, 5th day, June 27th, I had a handful of chips then nothing for the rest of the day.

6th day- june 28th- 100% fastest
7th day-june 29th-100% fasted

On the 8th day , june 30, I broke fast, had one very large meal spread over a a few hours.

The 9th day, july 1st, had one large meal, than granola bar that night.

July 2nd I didnt fast
July 3rd- 100% fast
july 4th- didnt fast.

July 5th started 2nd attempted fast.
1st-july 5th-100% fasted
2nd- july 6th-100% fasted
3rd-july 7th- broke fast late at night, ate all night into morning of july 8th.

july 8th i fasted (yesterday), and today so far I am 100% fasted.

I'm at 175 pounds now and started at about 195. I gained 10 pounds on july 7th, lost 5 of it since.

I've already lost a lot of weight since beginning, I'm concerned that I don't have enough reverses for a full 14 days.

What I'd like to know if all of these days have added up, or if once you break it you go back to zero in terms of marginal benefits of another day fasted. So right now, It's been 5 days since my last meal EXCEPT the 8 hour period where I gorged... if I continued for another 6 days, would I get similar results to a 14 day water fast? Or do I need the full 14 days consecutively?

I'm thinking if I need 14 consecutive days to see full effects, I should probably spend a few days eating to get my weight back up and restore my reserves for the full 14 days.

What should I do?
