Not sure about the raw vs. boiled, try both. I'll guess that since it's an amino acid that we're after that cooking doesn't matter, but that's just a guess.

To make a raw tea (who wants to eat raw seeds?) just put the seeds in a blender with watermelom or water, and strain the liquid from the pulp.
