I think if none of ur family or significant others can smell it than they're just saying they dont smell anything cuz they dont want to offend you especially parents and close family members. Some ppl genuinely have a lack of smelling ability due to smoking, older age etc. and they may not be able to smell as well as others though they probably can still smell things. If doctors are saying they cant smell anything maybe they think there's nothing they can do or they dont want to get into that or they dont want to offend as well.
