Molars and emphysema

My mom still has a mercury amalgam on her right lower rear molar and when looking at an organ/tooth chart, it refers to the lung. sinus, paranasal, bronchus, nose and large intestine.

I found this document showing how extraction of the back molar can cause emphysema.

I wonder if removing this molar and irrigating with iodine would cure the emphysema?
