Here is my situation: whenever I drink regular milk (2%), I get really gassy and constipated. (I think I'm lactose intolerant). That being said, I was wondering if I should switch to drinking Lactaid for the rest of my life.
I want to know:
1) Are there any vitamins and minerals in regular milk that is not present in Lactaid that I should be consuming?
2) Are there any harmful things in Lactaid that I shouldn't be consuming long term?
3) Would it be damaging to my body if I drink regular milk and cope with the gas and constipation for the sake of getting the nutrients, if any, that are in regular milk?
