If you find a source for bulk/wholesale "everclear" or any other alcohol that can be used for tincturing (that doesn't require a 'minimum purchase' that is thousands of dollars), please let us all know!

As I understand it, anything over 100 proof must be shipped as a 'hazardous material' (which) that adds substantially to the cost). And that's on top of the fact that a gallon of alcohol in a glass container can weight 15+ pounds per gallon (approximately $19.00 per gallon via UPS ground). Of course, 'high weights' are less, and having the parcel shipped via truck is also 'less per gallon'.

I use Everclear ONLY when there is strong empirical evidence that's it necessary (as with some highly resinous herbs). For typical tincturing, 100 proof has always been the standard.
