Re: real id

I hope people realize that IF they get Real IDs, then they are essentially going to be tracked everywhere like in stores, at stop lights, and by police. Imagine an officer using a scanner to identify Real IDs in a vehicle immediately. They already have more controvertial camera systems coming out that scan people's license plates and report findings near real-time. If a vehicle is associated with any type of red flag, it can be identified with ease traveling on most roads monitored by police vehicles. A red flag could be for good reasons, or it could be for abusive/wrong/unjust reasons.

With a Real ID, nobody asks for your papers - you've given them up the moment you decided Real ID was a good idea to have in your wallet. There are short-range scanners that can detect the IDs and log the time, date, and location of each identity card. There's plenty of ways to get creative with all this DATA MINING that could generate extra revenue for someone somewhere without anyone's consent - except implied consent by obtaining the ID.
