It is most likely nerve related.

You can get that type of thing if you sleep on your arm, for example. You may get pins and needles in your arm, as well as numbness in fingers.

If you have an inflamed nerve in your arm, numb fingers may be the first symptom. If it gets worse, you may get pain in the nerve.

Keeping your arm warm may result in fastest recovery.

Is there anything which may have caused a compressed or inflamed nerve?
