Re: Eric Re: Mercury low on both tests

I have had many different symptoms of heavy metal toxicity. Most of them have disappeared or significantly lessened in the years I've been chelating. Some still worsen somewhat when I'm on a chelating round, but then are much better when I'm on a break.

The test may detect mercury in people who have normally functioning chelating systems, but if you have an abnormally functioning system which fails to eliminate mercury, the test would come back negative, even though you really have a serious problem. It's a flawed test, but, of course, most doctors would rather not believe the test is flawed. The same way quite a few doctors have refused to believe that Antibiotics can have serious side-effects and dentists have refused to believe that silver fillings can be dangerous.

Please consider that you had silver fillings. The fillings released mercury into your body for years I presume. Heavy metals aren't easily eliminated by your body. A lot of the stuff gets stuck in your body. There's an extreme likelihood that your body has quite a bit of mercury still in it. The test came back negative. That leaves two main possibilities: either you have a super-efficient immune system which somehow took care of you heavy metal problem by itself or you have one which doesn't easily eliminate mercury. If you had a super-efficient immune system, I imagine you likely wouldn't be posting on this board.

Consider your history of heavy metal exposure (your silver fillings) and then consider the symptoms you've had and compare them to commonly described symptoms of heavy metal toxicity. That would likely be a better indicator of whether or not you have a mercury problem than any flawed test.

Also consider that there are a number of examples I've read about in which people who were sick with heavy metal symptoms had heavy metal tests come back negative but they still chelated and felt better afterwards. Would this happen in your case? It would be foolish to guarantee anything, but I think it's a strong possibility.
