this *could be* just as easily from horizontal/lateral genetic material transfer... among other things... I suspect that you are aware that microorganisms exist on all manner of space debris that hits the earth.

As I implied... anything you say can be argued against just as convincingly... no one knows for sure.

You sound like you are trying to convince yourself more than me... I do not rule out alien origins at some point in our past at all - even if it was just horizontal/lateral genetic transfer... or that perhaps humans landed on this rock from some other place at one time.

Could be... and then again... maybe not.
