Re: Help.. Possibly Dying - ME/CFS/FM/MCS & Liver pain
Hi James.
Sorry about the mix up with the emails! I got it & replied there too now.
No supps prior to the gallbladder problems except a multi and probably occasional b complex. A year solid of constipation and my regular bowel problems (IBS) before it started though.
A fair bit of stress over the GF at the time, plus working & studying 60hrs a week is all I can think of. It must have overdone the adrenals, and possibly impeded enough blood flow etc to the gut. That along with still eating wheat etc when I was very intolerant and didnt know it, probably caused gut damage/dysfunction Id say. Hence the liver eventually went sludgey. Otherwise I was eating fish & veg, nuts, fruit, some meat. But yes, still eating gluten and some dairy which (I didnt know at the time) I was very intolerant to. No injuries.
Even when I was 15 years old & broke out in severe acne, any naturo who did iridology mentioned my digestive system. I was confused back then because I had almost no digestive symptoms except for bowel cramps after some foods which was used to. No indigestion, liver pain or reflux etc until early 20's.
Interesting, didn't know that about fibre & bile. I knew it bound toxins/bile somewhat but not about sludge. As for lecethin, it has always made me somewhat nauseous, reduces appetite a lot. I dont know if this is due to producing bile or what. I also have PhosCholine 35%. This always gives me biliary colic, has for years. Makes me more sluggish and less functional for a while (say if i take it 2 days in a row), then though i can have a better day 1-2 days later (possibly from it clearing out some sludge?).
Yeah not sure about bitters either. Was doing a lot of andrographis (for my constant infections/viruses), but it didnt help the biliary stuff at all.
Definitely with the nerve stuff I've felt like it's demyelination, as the nerve endings have often felt 'exposed'. This is has settled somewhat at the moment, but still up and down. It was most severe back in Nov/Dec last year.
Sounds like I really need to tolerate lecethin/phos chol somehow!
I check my blood
Sugar daily. Its generally in the normal range and not too high. Very occasionally it has been high.
Indeed, I bet I have adrenal atrophy, especially after being on cortisone 3.5 years. However my body was bottoming out without it back in 2008 (almost a year solid of licorice root +
Sea Salt in water which just stopped working eventually), so I really didn't know what else to do but go on it. No idea how to get off it now. Ive tried many times but I get down to a certain level and crash (bp gets down to 80/50 etc). I hate the stuff with a passion.
Agree re: most being due direct/indirectly to adrenals. Interesting & agree with the allergy/immune stuff. All great info.
SVT only came back because they stuffed up the ablation the first time. 3 more months of arrhythmias then a 2nd ablation fixed the problem for good (14yrs now).
Spaced out feeling from coffee was much more likely liver related (brain felt extremely toxic after coffee as time went on). Back then I had such clarity otherwise, and a more 'revved up' metabolism. I was thin, unable to gain weight despite tons of food, with generally harder palpitations etc. A bit wired up often and very awake (before the cfs stuff started), which would more likely point to a hyperthyroid state than under. This kind of stress state indicated I suppose the beggining stages of adrenal fatigue.
Now however, my brain is very shut down, depressed, anxious, crying etc all the time. Barely any neurotransmitter function happening. It 'feels like' im in a hypothyroid state. I just had my free T3 and T4 levels done last week and they are right mid normal range. Dont know if I'm having thyroid resistance in tissues/receptor sites etc or something though. Will look up Raynaud's, thanks. My skin tone I think is carotenosis, as since ive dramatically reduced/almost cut out yellow veggies a couple months ago, the yellow has reduced a fair bit.
Yeap, I get fairly regular hypoglycemia usually due to not being able to eat enough solid decent food, especially protein foods regularly. Also yes the adrenals don't control it well. Before I got onto cortisone, I had to eat every hour or I felt very unstable and crashy. Cortisone fixed that up soon as I started taking it. But I still of course get hypos quite often.
Interesting re omega 6. However its more the heaviness of the meat/protein IMO and possibly the liver being unable to break down proteins. My brain feels almost crazy & toxic when I eat meat now (people with end stage liver failure cannot detoxify/process protein in the same way). Omega 6 oils alone don't do this at all.
Doubt the rib torso small joint cracking pain is from hypoglycemia, because the less I eat in general the less this pain is. Even if I dont eat for 8 hours and feel weak & light headed (hypo is starting), that small joint systemic pain is always less than ever when i dont eat, and flares within minutes of eating food. I suspect I might have some really severe leaky gut, like way worse than most people.
I take magnesium very regularly as it is helpful. Levels are generally very good - high end on tests, even RBC mag. I take magnesium Malate daily in good doses for those reasons (hopefully increase ATP & help pain etc).
Very interested in reading more about your gastroparesis posts. This is one of the most frustrating things I have had all these years, & is still here all the time. As for acid deficiency, I likely do have it. However when I take HCL it worsens acid reflux and gastritis. In fact ive been on PPI's to block acid because of my gastritis - was heading for ulcers. I think the gastroparesis is what makes this worse, letting the acid sit around too long instead of going through, instead of actually being too much acid. Absolutely thats likely why proteins dont break down well enough.
Thanks so much for the info, well appreciate it! It's hard with my intolerances to everything, that's for sure. Hence searching every crack high & low for an answer to improve things to be ABLE to tolerate these things. Especailly glutathione (check my document I sent to ur email).
