Histamines: muscle cramping / discomfort & vision?
I know the classic and most obvious symptoms of
Histamine Intolerance is sneezing, congestion, bloodshot & watering eyes.
However, has anyone ever had issues of muscle cramping and discomfort related to histamines? If so, how long might that take to resolve after adopting a
Low Histamine Diet ?
Also, could there be any connection to rather sudden change in vision (difficulty in reading close)?
I was wondering if the muscles in the eyes are required to focus close, and if there is a systemic issue with muscles, if that could perhaps be related?
Though I'm 44, and I know that's about the normal time for many folks to require reading glasses, my close-reading ability deteriorated quickly in the last 3 months since making some major changes in my diet:
I started cooking everything from scratch, stopped eating vitamin fortified grains (all wheat/gluten). I was doing lots of slow-cooking of meats, and drinking lots of V8 and eating lots of spinach.
Of of that sounded really healthy, but I developed what I now realize is classic
Histamine Intolerance issues (rash, sneezing, etc.).
What I don't know is if muscle cramping is related to the histamines & diet change, or if the vision changes are related to either, or simply a consequence of getting older.
However, I would have thought that my problem reading close would have developed more slowly.
Thanks for any insights,
Mike
