Histamines: How long to reach base-line?

I'm sure the answer will be that it's different for everyone, but here's my question:

I am starting a low-histamine diet to see if excess histamine levels is what's been causing my problem.

If I do a good job of limiting dietary histamines, how long might it be before my systemic levels of histamine fall?

I presume that if I'm not adding the burden of dietary histamines, my body will be better able to process and get rid of the histamines already there.

Is it hours, days, or weeks?
