Getting back to the article and no cynicism here I hope.
I was little surprised by this when I first followed this up some time ago. Little surprised because logic and analytical processes are usually not well developed or discussed in many areas of research. Not to mention any good understanding of
philosophical speculation. Indeed it is interesting that a mathematician should be pointing this out. Rarely would a researcher based in particular field bother and secondly,
mathematicians can have remarkable analytical skills and a fine understanding of logic. Unfortunately skills and disciplines that are not highly valued by many "public" institutions in my society at least. Such is mediocrity.
