The amount of sleep required by the body is usually linked to the amount of food you eat while eating, so while fasting, the amount of sleep is usually greatly reduced............

Scroll down to the heading of SLEEP...............

"It is the usual thing for the fasting person to sleep no more than three to four hours out of each twenty-four hours, and this frequently causes worry"....................
