There are all kinds of "scientific experts" There are psychologists, biologists, social scientists, library scientists, business scientists etc.

Why? Because Science is merely accumulated knowledge.

"Science refers to a system of acquiring knowledge."

Scientists testify in court cases, and usually they are scientists that have studied in a field that is related to the case.
