Re: Don't go in the water
Thank you both for your input.
I found this at dreammoods.com:
To see water in your dream symbolizes your subconscious and your emotional state of mind. Water is the living essence of the psyche and the flow of life energy. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment. To dream that water is boiling suggests that you are expressing some emotional turmoil. Feelings from your subconscious are surfacing and ready to be acknowledged. You need to let out some steam.
To see calm, clear water in your dream means that you are in tune with your spirituality. It denotes serenity, peace of mind, and rejuvenation.
Then at another site, Aisling I found this:
Water can symbolize your spiritual side or life itself. It can assume the shape of anything into which it is placed. How the water is depicted in the dream says something about your spiritual side. Our spiritual side is quite often the most neglected aspect of our nature. Spirituality is expression of the soul and not to be confused with religion. Expression of the soul connects you with life and is your true essence. What gives you expression? Is it writing, poetry, playing musical instruments, dancing, teaching, helping others, etc? Do you know what it is and if you do, have you created space for it in your life?
Shallow water indicates that despite what you may think, you still have room to deepen your spiritual side.
lake is a large body of water with no outlet. You are being asked to create an outlet for your spirituality. It is deeper than you think.
So I think that you both made some good points.
In the past, whenever I got into the psychic aspect of life, I ended up in a mental facility. I realize that I had a conflict buried in my subconscious. It had to come out into the light of day. In doing so, I was bipolar. I believe this is a natural course for cleansing. Now that I'm aware of it, I wonder if it's safe to try and open up these channels again. The people in the background, telling me to stay out of the water, are all aspects of myself and the fears I've adopted through this process.
It's true I need some other outlet for my creativity.
Thanks for listening.
